Laboratory for Sustainable Heat Generation

The laboratory focuses on topics related to sustainable heat generation, especially for building heating. The focus here is on heat pumps and biomass systems as well as storage concepts.

• Investigation of heat pumps with regard to grid efficiency or PV self-consumption increase
• Optimisation of the combination of storage tank and heat pumps
• Investigation of biomass boilers

• Heat pump in the loop test bench with real simulation of the heat consumption of the building
• Heat pump test bench for examining components of the heat pump circuit
• 2 Test benches for the energetic measurement of biomass boilers

• Investigation of optimization potential for thermal storage and heat pumps
