With the increasing importance of German-Chinese relations, there is a growing demand for qualified professionals who possess knowledge of the Chinese language and culture and can work productively and successfully in a German-Chinese context or perform intermediary functions.
The supplementary programme China-Competence gives youthe opportunity to familiarize yourself with China parallel to your main studies, and for the most part, independent of your main place of study. At the same time, you have the opportunity to sharpen your view of cultural behaviours and Chinese-German interactions.
The supplementary programme China-Competence is offered by BayCHINA (Bavarian Academic Center for China) in cooperation with Bayreuth University and is both scientific and practice-oriented, providing you with basic knowledge and skills to develop a better understanding of China.
AfriZert is designed to enable students at all Bavarian universities to have a minimum level of Africa-related knowledge certified - regardless of their home institution or study programme.
The aim of afriZert is to enable you to perceive and get to know the African continent in all its diversity: as a multifaceted space of discourse, as a home to a wide variety of living and working environments, and in the context of global political, social and economic interdependencies. Special attention is paid to interpersonal and intercultural exchange, which is anchored in the curriculum through a mandatory stay abroad.
