Electric Drive Technology
Movements must be generated in many products of daily life and in production machines. Today, electrical motors are mostly used for this purpose. They provide the force or torque needed to generate motion.

Reduction of energy consumption and emissions
Electrical machines combine the conversion of electrical into mechanical energy and vice versa in a unique way. They are quiet, torque is already available at zero speed, and they are easy to control. In addition, electric drives have a comparatively high degree of efficiency, which means that they are of great importance when it comes to reducing emissions.
Drives powered by 400V
In the Bachelor's and Master's modules on electric drive technology, the fundamentals of motors, all drive components and the design of complex servo drive systems are imparted. The lecture content is deepened on practical test stands with latest industrial components. The lab course is carried out at common industrial voltage levels (400V three-phase voltage).
