Growing health awareness, demographic development, innovative high-tech products in medical technology and the pharmaceutical industry, digital progress in care management and yet an increasing number of diseases of affluence and the desire for individual health care - for companies in the health care industry, this offers not only new challenges, but also diverse opportunities that can be used sustainably.
With the bachelor's degree program in Management in the Health Care Industry, you will receive the best possible training and be prepared for demanding activities in the health care industry. The program combines the teaching of key qualifications, methods and management knowledge with a strong practical orientation.

Your basis for a challenging perspective in the health care industry
- The application-oriented teaching and the training based on scientific knowledge and methods will shape you into an independent specialist and manager in the healthcare industry.
- The first four semesters focus on all sectors of the healthcare industry and provide you with the basics of business administration as well as a broad knowledge of medicine, care, medical devices, pharmacy and social insurance.
- Only through your choice of focus do you deepen your knowledge in hospital management, pharmaceutical management, medical device management or social insurance and supply management.
- The high practical orientation through internships, case studies and lecturers and guest lecturers from leading companies and organizations in the health care industry enable you to achieve a high level of qualification for various fields of application and an interdisciplinary perspective.
- Institutions from all sectors of the healthcare industry are eligible for your career entry.
Application and admission
Your ticket to MGW studies
- subject-related or general university entrance qualification or
- Master craftsman's examination, (in this case, a counseling interview at the university is an additional admission requirement or)
- Completion of at least two years of vocational training, (in this case, at least three years of work experience, a counseling interview at the university as well as passing a two-semester trial study are additional prerequisites for admission).
Personal requirements
- You should have a strong interest in economics and the health care industry.
- Good mathematical skills, creativity and the ability to work in a team are a plus.
- You already have an education in the health care sector? Then you are perfectly suited for the study of Management in the Health Care Industry!
