Information about the general and compulsory electives (AW/AWPM)

• General elective modules (AW): these are taken voluntarily out of interest and as additional work. The credit points are therefore not counted towards the total quota of your degree programme. However, they will be listed in the Transcript of Records (ToR) if you wish to do so and forward the electives to the examination office.
  
  If you have positively completed three electives, you can also apply for a certificate from the TH Rosenheim.
• In some cases, general elective modules (AW) can be credited as FWPM or even as a compulsory module - you can see which general elective modules are credited in your degree programme and how in the general overview.
• General elective modules (AWPM): Some degree programmes have a general elective subject as a compulsory module in their curriculum, a so-called AWPM. The best way to find out whether you are free to choose or whether your degree programme specifies a selection is to ask your degree programme director.

The registration period for the AW/AWPM is always in the first week of the semester.

Registration takes place via the TH-Dashboard (click left on AWPM)

Please register in the first week of the semester via the TH-Dashboard (click AWPM on the left).

• First, specify whether you want to take one, two or three AW modules. Then you can prioritize a maximum of 5 courses (LV) in a list.
• ON the day after the election period, have a look on the TH-Dashboard to find out which courses you have received. Deselect them, if you can't participate or...

• You are taking a general elective module (AW) additionally and out of interest?
  
  Please inform the lecturer informally that you would like to take the exam (so that we know what room size we need for the exam). After the exam, you will automatically receive an elective certificate with a grade via the LC.
• You have to complete a general elective module (AWPM) in your degree programme or are attending a general elective subject that is credited as a FWPM or module in your degree programme?
  
  Register as usual in the OSC within the exam registration period. As with all other compulsory examinations, you can view your grade in the OSC after it has been announced.

You receive an elective certificate if you voluntarily attend a general elective subject that is not credited to you in your degree programme. After passing the exam, the elective certificate is automatically sent to you via Learning Campus. If you want to have the grade entered in the ToR, you have to submit the elective subject certificate to the examination office yourself.
