Writing a dissertation is a rewarding but often also a very challenging task. A dissertation is not only longer and more complex than a bachelor’s or master’s thesis—structuring, formulating, and presenting the results of years of research to the academic public can sometimes feel more difficult, and lonely, than research itself. Whether you are writing in German or in English, the Writing Center can help you with the writing process from the first stages of planning and structuring, through writing the first draft, and the revision process. 

We offer individual consultations for doctoral candidates on any writing projects: a conference paper, poster, presentation, or the dissertation, in German and English.
