As part of the KPMG Summerclash 2024, a case study competition, two student teams from Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences have achieved outstanding results. The final round, which took place in Munich, brought together a total of 22 teams, including several teams from the Technical University of Munich (TU Munich) and teams from the University of Regensburg. The two teams from TH Rosenheim were the only HAW represented.
The competition, which is known for its challenging and practical case studies, presented the participants with challenges that required a high level of specialist knowledge, problem-solving skills and team spirit. Specifically, in the first part, a case had to be worked on in the course of the annual audit, before an ESG readiness assessment on sustainability reporting had to be carried out in the second part of the competition.
Particularly pleasing: Team RIM RO from TH Rosenheim, consisting of Ilona Mayr, Moritz Thusbaß and Romina Ott, secured first place and came top of the competition, which was rewarded with prize money of €1,000. The "Triple A" team, consisting of Marius Bruder, Lukas Wilfling and Leonard Wilke, achieved an equally respectable fourth place and received €200.
The outstanding placings of the teams from Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences not only reflect the high quality of education at the university, but also the commitment and performance of the students. The success at the KPMG Summerclash underlines the importance of practice-oriented learning and the excellent preparation that students at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences receive. This shows that the university can more than keep up with internationally renowned universities.
