Practical semester

• Time: the fifth semester of study 
• Duration: 18 weeks of practical training + 2 weeks of accompanying courses 
• Work placement with a task corresponding to the degree programme

The 18-week compulsory internship, which is preferably done in the period from August to February, plays a decisive role for further studies on the one hand, and on the other hand it is often the stepping stone to a working student job or as a later employee. Students often find contacts here that enable them to write an interesting and practice-oriented Bachelor's thesis.
But the companies also benefit from their interns. At the time of the internship, the students have solid programming experience and are able to successfully work independently on projects. In doing so, they benefit from the experience of many small internal projects during their previous studies as well as from the experience of the company's employees. Both sides often enrich each other in the process, grow from each other and, under certain circumstances, achieve completely new results and solutions.

With the Praxisbörse, the faculty supports the students of its Bachelor's degree programmes in their search for suitable company partners. The Praxisbörse offers students and companies the opportunity to make initial contact in an informal atmosphere.

• annually in the summer semester (preferably in April)
• as a classroom event or digitally (video conferencing system)

The IKORO, the industry and contact fair of the Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences, takes place every year in May. Here, too - in addition to establishing contacts for working student jobs, vacancies and Bachelor's or Master's theses - contacts can also be made for the practical semester.
