Innovation Lab

The goal of the Innovation Lab is to communicate knowledge about new technologies and make technologies tangible in our lab. These technologies will fundamentally change the way we work and live. The innovation lab is intended for students of TH Rosenheim as well as for employees of companies from our region and is also used in research and development projects and transfer. Students gain practical experience in the innovation lab during their studies and develop projects and demonstrators under the guidance of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Straube. In this way, they already come into contact with these technologies and with companies during their studies and can possibly also use this as a springboard for later employment.

Through a research project, the laboratory was equipped with the latest equipment. It offers the possibility to acquire knowledge in the areas of artificial intelligence, neural networks and data acquisition in productions and to use demonstrators built for this purpose. Furthermore, the topics of augmented and virtual reality are covered with a whole range of equipment, applications and examples. With our collaborative robot, applications in the field of automation can be realized that enable collaboration between humans and robots.

Special thanks go to the Landkreis Traunstein. With a generous grant of €9000 in Q4 2023, we were able to create a new research position in our innovation lab, which was filled by Maria Quinteiro Perosa.
