ift Laboratories: Acoustics, Facade, Fire and Smoke Control
ift Rosenheim is an institute for testing, inspection and certification of windows, facades, doors, gates, glass and building materials. During the excursion we had the opportunity to gain an exclusive insight into some of the testing laboratories:
- In the Laboratory Building Acoustics testing of air/impact sound and flank transmission of building elements such as windows, facades, glazing and doors takes place.
- In the Laboratory Facade development, object and system tests of air permeability, water tightness, wind load, „earthquake“, climate tests / temperature change load, burglary resistance, pendulum impact tests and much more of buidling elements are possible.
- In the Laboratory Fire and Smoke Control - ift Technology Centre all relevant tests and certifications for fire resistance, smoke control, reaction to fire and many other product characteristics are offered to manufacturers of building elements and building materials.
Tests are carried out according to international and/or national standards as well as individual requirements based on flexible accreditation category II.
