About the laboratory
Competences
The laboratory for assembly automation and robotics is intended to offer practical education one the automation of assembly processes to our engineering students in Bachelor and Master courses. The second focus are industrial robots as an essential component for industrial automation. Extensive equipment of various robot technologies, workpiece carriers, grippers and assembly technology is available for this purpose.

Research
The laboratory for assembly automation and robotics takes part in the research focus „Mechatronic Systems“ at TH Rosenheim, especially in the research field collaborative assembly and kinematics for assembly processes.
Student Projects
Assembly automation applications are developed and implemented as part of student research projects. The available laboratory equipment can also be used to carry out feasibility studies. In cooperation with other laboratories at the university, more extensive topics can be worked on.

Industry support
Practical training takes place at various test facilities, which mainly use current series products of market leading companies. Thereby, the theoretical basics can be solidified and effectively. The state-of-the-art laboratory equipment is made possible by the generous support of many market-leading companies (supporting companies). We express our sincere gratitude to these companies.
