About the laboratory
We underpin our pronounced and comprehensive practical and application claim with the Laboratory for Applied Mathematics and Statistics.
Here we promote cooperation with companies and place great emphasis on practice-oriented research and development projects. For example, we process large amounts of data here on powerful computers with algorithms of statistical and machine learning. Similarly, computationally intensive processes are made usable for practical applications through parallelisation techniques. Important future technologies are included, for example data science and artificial intelligence (AI).
