Career Opportunities
The typical industrial engineer is employed in industrial or consulting companies in the link between the technical and economical pillar: The majority can be found in the field of project management, sales, controlling, logistics, production, purchasing, marketing and development. They ensure the knowledge transfer and understanding of the key players to create added value.
Learning Contents
The industrial engineering programme educates in these major fields: Engineering, economics, social skills, methodological competence and, most importantly, the integration and combination of these different fields. Typically you will be taught in small groups with classical teaching methods, but later you will work more in groups,have discussions forums or solve problem based tasks etc. You will learn in detail how to run a successful company, e.g. technical development, marketing, purchasing, human resource management, etc. You will be able to set your own focus while studying, e.g on digitalisation, sustainability, modern intralogistics among others. Another basic idea of the course is its flexibility, as you will be able to study according to your personal progress and abilities and choose additional courses in accordance with your preference of working in one of our research fields.
