About the laboratory
Competences
In the laboratory the practical education in the bachelor and master modules on Electrical Drives in the following subjects takes place:
- Motion Control Systems
- Model-based development of servo drives based on MATLAB®, Simulink®, Ansys® and dSPACE®
- Position measurement
Knowledge of the fundamentals of motors, all drive components and the design of complex servo drive systems is imparted. The lecture content is deepened on practical test stands with latest industrial components. The lab course is carried out at common industrial voltage levels (400V three-phase voltage).

Research
The laboratory electrical drive technology takes part in the research focus „Mechatronic Systems“ at TH Rosenheim, especially in the research field motion control“, structural mechanics and model-based development.
Partner
Industry support
Practical training takes place at various test facilities, which mainly use current series products of market leading companies. Thereby, the theoretical basics can be solidified and effectively. The state-of-the-art laboratory equipment is made possible by the generous support of many market-leading companies (supporting companies). We express our sincere gratitude to these companies.
